Last weekend Preston’s streets were alive with music and colour as the city celebrated the 40th Caribbean Carnival. The carnival has been a year in the making, with a dedicated team of artists, volunteers and local community groups working together to ensure the celebration continues year on year. All the hard work and preparations paid off, it was spectacular.
The sun was shining and spirits were high as the floats took to the streets to make a circuit of the city. Despite the blazing temperatures the dancers kept on smiling, it was a great atmosphere.
Here’s hoping the carnival continues for another forty years!
