An exhibition has just opened in London dedicated to the artwork featured in children’s literature. features ten classic children’s books from the 20th century and explores how illustrators have imagined and reimagined the stories over the years. Paddington Bear, Peter Pan, Willy Wonka and illustrations from The Hobbit and Wind in the Willows all feature.
A few months ago I talked about how picture books can introduce children to art. This should be a fascinating exhibition. I hope we get down to the Big Smoke to see it in time!
