This evening’s sunset over St Walburge’s Church. The church is one of Preston’s most striking landmarks, with a spire that climbs 94 metres into the sky.
Earlier this year we were able to climb half way up and take a bird’s eye view across the city. You can read more about our ascent up the church’s spiral staircase here.
The church spire is also home to a family of Peregrine Falcons. As we strolled towards the church this evening we could hear the birds’ familiar squawk. They return here every year to give birth and nurture their young.
