Photography exhibitions: Rankin and Mary McCartney

Developing Photographs by Mary McCartney

There are two photography exhibitions I am itching to see. The first is Developing: Photographs by Mary McCartney at the Lowry at Salford Quays. The daughter of Paul and Linda McCartney is world renowned photographer and this exhibition features large scale images of many legendary international performers including Joni Mitchell and Morrissey. Need to get my skates on as it finishes on 9th June 2013, entry is free.

The second is Alive: In the Face of Death at the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool. The exhibition features the work of photographer Rankin as he explores death and mortality as well as celebrating life. The images will feature people who have pulled through against the odds and documents the stories of everyday people who are running out of time. The exhibition runs from 17th May – 15th September and forms part of the LOOK/13: Liverpool International Photography Festival.
