Oliver Jeffers is over in the UK this week. The Belfast born author and illustrator is the creator of some of the best children’s picture books including How to Catch a Star, The Incredible Book Eating Boy and Lost and Found, which was made into a short animated film.
We are really excited as he is now based in Brooklyn, New York and is over in the UK presenting his latest book, The Hueys in It Wasn’t Me, at An Evening With Oliver Jeffers in Manchester this Thursday 11th April and we have tickets! I have been reading Oliver Jeffers’ books to my son since he was small and now he is seven he can read them to me. I love the combination of beautiful illustrations, unusual storylines and humour, the books always make my son laugh. I even wrote to Oliver Jeffers when my son was small to let him know how much we loved his books.
Oliver Jeffers will also be at Waterstones in Leeds on 13th April and at Simply Books in Cheshire on 12th April. I’ll let you know how our evening with Oliver Jeffers goes.
