We spent this afternoon in Liverpool, spending most of it at Tate Liverpool. We left as the sun was setting across the River Mersey. The Albert Dock is dotted with statues of local heroes including this one of Liverpool born rock and roll singer Billy Fury.
The dock side was packed with families, couples and groups of friends enjoying the bright sunshine, one of the first bright days of 2013.
The Albert Dock is home to Tate Liverpool, the Merseyside Maritime Museum, the International Slavery Museum and The Beatles story. The Museum of Liverpool is also close by.
