I recently took my son to the Museum of Liverpool, its a great place to spend an afternoon with little Liverpool, a dedicated children’s section which is great for the under 6’s, its really hands on with lots of information on the wildlife in the River Mersey, plus its fun too! Elijah loved running about upstairs, sitting in old fashioned train carriages and playing with the interactive displays.
I loved this dress, which is on display by the entrance. It was created and designed by Liverpool dressmaker Thelma Madine and Ryan Edwards, stylist at hair salon Voodou. It has 12 petticoats, complete with 1,200 crystals and is made from 250 metres of hair extensions, hand dyed and styled by Edwards. It was worn by the winner of the first alternative Miss Liverpool and weighs 14 kilos, equivalent to 16 large bags of sugar. Crikey she must of had tired legs afterwards!
